More good news on the Casey front - her band teacher invited her to join Wind Ensemble next year. There were only 8 flute spots and about 20 kids competing for it, so it's quite an honor. I did not get enough sleep on Saturday night, and as a result I spent Sunday being pretty sleepy. I had stayed up until 1 AM internet surfing/watching TV/Reading and then had to get up at 7 to go pick Casey up from her lock in. I did a lot better than her, though. The weather has been weird around here. Saturday was sunny and hot as hell (it reached 90). Sunday morning there was crazy wind, rain and tornado warnings. Sunday afternoon, sunny and beautiful. After a pretty sedentary day at home, Casey and I headed out to Universal last night to have dinner at Circus McGurkus. I let her choose from the list of places we could go for ½ off with my coupon. A kid got hit by a car right in front of us this morning when I was taking Casey to school. Well, more like grazed. His leg was just a little hurt, I think.
